Thanks for this - very interesting. I eagerly looked through the CDs since it is so hard to find recordings of Niemann's music but it would seem that the recordings (of Niemann and of the others on the site - Kaun, Kleffel, Rüter etc) are midi versions.
HOWEVER I was very interested to see that Niemann Werke 3 contains recordings by Niemann himself plus a couple of others (Karl Lenzon and Gieseking playing a transcription).
Has anyone heard this? I googled Niemann to find details of his recordings but found nothing - does anyone know if these are his complete recordings? The recordings are listed as 78s recorded in 1940 so not his Welte or Triphonola rolls.
And while we're at it does anyone know of any Niemann Cds - I know there are bits here and there (Ogawa playing Japan for instance) but sometimes it is obscure little labels that come up trumps and these aren't always easiest to find on the internet.

Paul, thank you for you Niemann posts. It is great to have more pieces to add to my growing collection from this very prolific composer. It is always a joy put Niemann on my piano desk and see what he's come up with. His variety is astonishing.
