Music from the British Isles

Piano, Fortepiano and Harpsichord Music

Ernest Austin (1874-1947)

To celebrate his entry to the public domain (in EU at least) have posted Austin's interesting Dream Themes to IMSLP today: https://is.gd/H88tDU. His music seems pretty scarce, so it would be great to see more put there. I have his rather childish piece 'The Never-Never Land' and will add that soon. Hopefully other works will follow (although alas I don't have them).

Generally speaking, I get very little feedback on my efforts
to make the backwaters of the British piano literature
available, so a positive response such as yours is much
appreciated. Having said that, I'd not be too keen on an
automatic thank-youer.

Thank you HTIEKFR. The source, Brigham Young University, reminds
me of their satellite channel. Last time I checked, its European
transmission was on Telstar 12 at 15deg west.

Douglas Miller Two nocturnes.pdf
Not only the fabulous four were from Liverpool:
also Douglas Miller (1888-1983), a pianist and composer,
who studied with Godowsky.

These two lovely nocturnes (long out-of-print) can be heard on YouTube:

Thank you, Alfred, for the BUSCH piece. It is a very substantial and interesting piece.
